The following guide explains how to flash an application binary into a VoidX device by using a Windows machine. For this example we will load into our Mini Stomp-X Dev-Board-based device a 7-band equalizer application. This procedure can be followed for any VoidX compatible device, including ESP32-S3-DevKit.
First, download VoidX-Flasher from the link or from the Downloads section of this website, unzip it and then launch “VoidX-Flasher.exe”.
Connect your device to a USB port and then, from VoidX-Flasher refresh the COM Ports by using the top-right button. Now, from the upper drop-down-menu select the COM port which corresponds to the device you want to flash.
In the “Firmware” section browse for the .bin file you want to load into the device. You can use this 7-band equalizer application as reference.
Press “Flash Firmware” and wait until it says “Done! Flashing is complete!”. You have successfully flashed your VoidX device!
If it doesn’t complete as expected see the “View Logs” section. If the problem persists, contact us at voidxdevteam@gmail.com.
